really enjoyed this book and am anticipating the sequel
The writing is excellent, and the story is well crafted. It held my attention throughout. I recommend this.

Loved this book!
Can't wait for the next in series!
- Robin Smith-DeBrayon, January 26, 2017

I just wanted to dedicate a post to the next book in the series, as these reviews and quite a few more focus on readers’ anticipation of the sequel to Weaving Man.

Weaving Man is the first book in a four volume series that focuses on the lives of Menders, Katrin, Hemmett, Borsen and the other characters who have caught readers' imaginations.

The next book is titled Love and Sacrifice, and picks up where Weaving Man ends. It will be followed by the third book, Eirdon and the final book in the story arc, The Light At The Top Of The World.

I am on a schedule to release Love and Sacrifice during April, 2017. So far, things are going well. I'm coming out of a very busy time at my day job, and can afford a little time off, so I don’t anticipate delays.

And now, back to the keyboard!

  1. Brava Ms. Ford!! It took me four days, endless hours of ignoring family, laundry and the like but you captivated me! I couldn't put Weaving Man down. So please, please please continue writing so that I may continue to enjoy the adventures of the The Shadows dwellers! (and P.S. April is my birthday month so....hint hint, what a lovely gift to receive "Love and Sacrifice") Thank you!!

  2. I can't wait!! I read Weaving Man in less than 12 hours over 2 days...much to my family's chagrin. :) Looking so forward to joining our friends back on their journey.

  3. Hi - I'm so glad to hear from you both! The next book, Love and Sacrifice, is moving along, despite some delays caused by my day job and a rotten bug I've picked up. I'm still hoping for the end of April for a release date.

The journey literally becomes one - in Love and Sacrifice we get to see some of the rest of Eirdon, the world that Menders and his family inhabit. Writing about it has been a lot of fun as well as a challenge.

Now, back to the manuscript for another little bit!

  4. Ms. Ford.- I picked up your book as a whim from an ad on my Kindle and found myself both amazed and stunned that I could even begin to like a "sci-fi" novel. This book kept me at the edge of my seat many times and I cannot wait for the next book. I only have a few writers that I wait (very impatiently) for their next books and I now add you to that list. Thank you for introducing me to something new and for allowing me to go along on the journey with Menderes, Katrin, Hemmet, Borson, Kaymar, Eiren and the rest of the characters. I can't wait for the rest of the series. You truly have a gift and I hope it serves you well. Debbie Mayo

    1. Hi - thank you for your kind words! It's great to hear from readers and I'm always glad when they enjoy my work.

Weaving Man is the first book I felt was publishable, but I've been writing since I was three years old (A three page story, illustrated, called The King of The Forest, which was very influenced by my having seen the movie Bambi). I've been working on The Eirdon Books, of which Weaving Man is the first, for ten years, through many changes and upsets in my personal life. I was determined that it would see print and have never given up. I'm hoping that the rest of the books - Love and Sacrifice, Eirdon and The Light at the Top of the World - will all be out toward the end of this year or the beginning of next year.

  6. So good! I'm taking my time reading The Weaving Man just to savor what promises to be an excellent series. I don't think I'll be able to completely stall until the release of Love nd Sacrifice, but at least I won't have to wait long. Your talent is amazing. Thanks for a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
